Dashboards

Draggable widget grids built by AI from your schema.

A dashboard is a named collection of widgets — charts and AI-written insights — linked to a specific data source (file session, uploaded dataset, etc.). Every account has a default dashboard, and you can create as many named dashboards as you like.

Adding widgets

From the Directory view, DuckViz streams AI-recommended charts in a right-side panel. Each chart has a + button; click it to add the widget to your active dashboard. You can also type your own prompt in the chat box and ask for a specific chart.

Layout

Dashboards use a 12-column draggable grid. Drag widgets to rearrange them, resize from the bottom-right corner, and the layout is saved automatically per dashboard.

Insights (plain-text AI analysis) live in the same grid and follow the same rules.

Dashboards and data sources

Each dashboard is bound to its source so widgets keep running queries against the right tables. If you start a new file session, open the sidebar's Dashboards menu and create a new dashboard for it rather than mixing sources.
